Meet the team

Rosie - Deputy Manager and SENDCO

Rosie

I am a qualified primary school teacher with over sixteen years’ experience of class teaching, interventions and small group teaching in a number of local schools. In addition, for the past four years I have worked at Reigate Parish Playgroup, where I have been Deputy Manager and SENDCo. I have three children and appreciate the importance of a good foundation to a child’s early years journey.

I love watching children’s language, social skills and personalities develop. It is exciting to see them buzz as they make connections while they play, listen and join in. I pride myself in my ability to make children feel relaxed, comfortable and have fun in their learning.

As a team we look forward to supporting and caring for your children at Leaps Nursery. What an adventure!

Clare

I worked as an Early Years Practitioner at Reigate Parish Playgroup for four years and I have a Level 3 Early Years Educator NVQ Diploma. I have also previously worked as a Learning Support Assistant and had a sixteen year flying career with British Airways. I have two children who attend local schools and I am an active member of St Mary’s Church. My key areas of interest at Leaps is child initiated learning through playing and exploring, and I love getting involved with creative activities and leading music and movement groups at Leaps.  I have also been known to bake the odd cake and enjoy providing sensory play opportunities for the children.

Charlotte

I have 13 years experience working with children, 6 of them specialising in special educational needs.  I am Level 3 qualified and am currently studying an advanced level SEN course.  I am passionate about ensuring every child is given their best start on their education journey by providing care, empathy, patience and understanding.  I have 2 wonderful children as well as 6 cats, a rabbit, a snake and lizard and 10 fish!  I am so happy to be part of the Leaps team and am very excited to see what the new academic year brings..

Jana

Child development and children's education has always been a passion of mine.  Seeing and helping children to develop and learn, especially through play and hands-on activities, is something I thoroughly enjoy.  Arts and Crafts is another passion of mine and there is always some project waiting for me at home - inside or outside!  I am a trained primary school teacher and gained most of my experience in London schools as well as primary and secondary school in Germany where I was born and raised.  Bringing up my own two children bilingual, I am looking forward to telling the children at Leaps Nursery, every now and then, a few German words and letting them experience some traditions through stories and food.  I have recently completed various courses to deepen my understanding of children's mental health which is another subject close to my heart.  I feel very grateful to be part of the Leaps Nursery team and I am looking forward to seeing the children through their early years journey.

Kellie

Hello.  My name is Kellie,  I am excited to be part of the excellent and nurturing Leaps team.  Before starting a family I was a nutritional therapist working alongside doctors, therapists, scientists and educators.

During the last decade I have been raising three awesome but very bust children!  Their interests are varied - ranging from art to dram, sport to stickers!
Additionally I am a regular volunteer at school helping with reading and activity days.
For the last 4 years I have also been a regular helper in the children's groups at church, looking after children in both the creche and preschool rooms.
I look forward to welcoming your children to Leaps.

Katie

Hi, I'm Katie. I have six years experience of working with children as a Learning Support Assistant. After taking a career break to raise my own children, I am excited to be joining the Leaps team! My special areas of interest are SEN, fine and gross motor development along with arts and design.
I'm looking forward to meeting all of your children and supporting them in their early years journey to learn, play and reach their potential.

Lizzie

I am currently working towards my level 3 childcare qualification. I started working in early years education after becoming a mum myself and I am passionate about children learning through play and wanting to provide a nurturing environment. I have recently trained in level 1 Makaton sign language and thoroughly enjoy it. I am hoping to bring this with me to Leaps where I am thrilled to have been taken on as a member of staff. In my spare time I am a busy mum to 2 boys - we enjoy the outdoors and are avid footy fans. I look forward to meeting you all and having the best time at nursery.
